Chairman Evbie Andrew Foundation and stalwart of the PDP, Evang. Comr. Evbie Andrew has condemned in totality, the killings of eight persons in Uwheru Kingdom, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.
Evbie who made the condemnation while addressing newsman, called on the Nigeria Police to bring the perpetrators suspected to be members of the dreaded fulani herdsmen to face justice, and also charged the Nigerian Army to identify it’s personel alleged to have accompanied the killers to carry out the heinous crime.
The business mogul and philanthropist par excellence called on security agencies to cooperate and restore normalcy to the affected communities, even as he appealed for restrain from locals of the affected community.
Evbie promised to follow up the case to ensure it’s not swept under the carpet, as this is one attack too many.
Recall, on Thursday 13th of February, suspected herdsmen allegedly aided by soldiers of the Nigerian Army, were said to have attacked Avwon, Agadama, Ohoror, and other communities of Uwheru Kingdom, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.
According to reports,
over eight persons were killed with many others sustaining serious injuries and properties including farms worth millions of naira destroyed.
